How a family business supplying food and beverage producers uses Omono to manage stock, assembly bills of materials and reordering.
About the Business
Founded in 2015 and based in Seaham, Integrated Processing Technologies Ltd (IPTL) is a family business supplying filtration, separation and fluid-handling equipment, primarily to food and beverage producers. Its range includes filters and housings, flexible hoses, tank-cleaning equipment and process accessories. Alongside the products, IPTL provides technical advice, process surveys and laboratory and pilot-scale testing. Its small team has overlapping responsibilities, and everyone uses Omono to some extent.
The Starting Point
Before Omono, the team used Xero, including its products and services functions, to manage stock. They considered Sage and other inventory systems before choosing Omono for its balance of price and functionality.
Stock and Assemblies in Everyday Use
IPTL uses Omono for stock reordering and assembly bills of materials, including stock costing and management. Shortage information and reorder suggestions help the team decide what to buy. Customer price lists, quotations and sales orders are also part of the team’s everyday work in the system.
Supporting Orders and Dispatch
Proforma invoices and multiple delivery addresses help the team handle different customer requirements, with drop-shipping on purchase orders supporting deliveries directly to customers. Workflow helps the team monitor dispatch schedules. Sales and purchase line-item reports, alongside sales and output tracking, provide the detail for reviewing business activity.
A System the Team Continues to Use
By October 2026, IPTL was in its fourth year of using Omono. Alongside the day-to-day features, the business values a team that is receptive to suggestions for additions and improvements and responds quickly.
